Autumn kick-off

During two hectic days in September, the new students in our team were introduced to the NUTS project and other aspects of Norwegian space activities. The first day guest lectures were given by Kristian Jensen (former NUTS team member) from Kongsberg Seatex, Øystein Olsen from FFI (Norwegian Defence Research Establishment), Lars Løge from Norwegian Space Centre, prof. Odd Gutteberg from our department and Stian Vik Mathisen from NAROM.

The second day we were joined by more of our former team members, Dewald and Asbjørn to join in our discussions. We had fruitful discussions about the communications system, back plane and EPS as well as the ADCS-system. It is good to have support from the persons that actually came up with the ideas for parts of our satellite platfrom.

Some pictures (by Stian Mathiesen) are included below.

Kai Inge, Gaute and Marianne discussing the camera, ADCS and structure

Vilius, Sigvald and Shafiq listen in on Asbjørn describing the on-board radio

Emma, Lars Erik and Dan Erik discusses the internal electronics system with Dewald
